I heard that QUICKSILVER was a stand out in the old PWD catalog, ahead of Rush, Hardware, Bolt, Iron Horse...do u guys know why that is? There were stories at the time that Joseph Miller of PWD chose this one as a sort of "special" and there was an additive. Jive? or No?

It was pretty good. I used a brand called Thrust. Then, I switched to Hardware until the US ban. I found a UK brand called Kix Amyl which was great until it got banned there. Now, pretty much everything is crap. I have 2 bottles of Double Scorpio I'm saving for special occasion.

Hi, so "pretty good" but does it have any distinguishing marks? some guys said it is a butyl amyl mix? Thrust: never heard of that one!

I find Quicksilver is the same as RUSH. The name is not so well known which can be very useful actually, guys

Quicksilver was different! they added something else? but it is a discreet one. Everybody know what RUSH is, but Quicksilver, sounds like something different. Say it is for getting rid of Silverfish quickly, I did! That is a long story though, it was in the rest room of an all night diner in Idaho in the late 1980s.

Quicksilver was sold as "a really intense ride" with a picture of a shirtless cowboy standing next to a massive truck. This would have been back in the 1980 times during the clone era. they added a scent, so it was just good old fashioned butyl nitrite but did not smell as raw. The urban myth then grew up around Quicksilver that it was a secret butyl amyl mix, it was not.
